Barns From Heaven

Fairbanks Valley Farm

Nestled into a small dale in Rancho Santa Fe lies the exquisite Fairbanks Valley Farm. Encompassing twenty-six gorgeous acres, surrounded by tall trees and freshened by the ocean breeze, the facility’s gorgeous main barn is its crown jewel.

Pam and Bob Buie purchased the property over twenty years ago and after meticulous planning, built the main barn. For the ve years prior to con- struction, Pam traveled to countless facilities the world over, researching every detail. “I asked several owners of nice horse properties what they liked most about their barns. Everyone was very helpful, and generous with recommendations.”

Following her extensive research, Pam developed her own design for the barn, then consulted with architects and interior designers to bring it to reality. No detail, no matter how small, was overlooked.

Form follows function fabulously in this superbly planned facility.

The Buies have owned show jumpers for many years, and created space to accommodate them. “Our oversize 14’ x 14’ stalls with their tall ceilings are great for the European warmblood horses, and I love the pasture turnouts. They let the horses be horses and relax between shows.”

Pam is particularly pleased with the large circular driveway. “We use it daily for shipping horses to and from shows, and for bringing in hay and shavings.”

The Buie children grew up riding at Fairbanks Valley Farm. Pam and Bob look forward to welcoming future grandchildren to the property, along with the ponies and horses, so several generations can enjoy this pristine place they call home.
